Darren Foote was born and raised in Reno, Nevada, where
he currently resides with is wife of 20 years and their 5 children.
He owned and operated a property maintenance company while still in High School,
then in 1990, joined with two of his brothers to form a construction company
(Foote
Brothers Construction) specializing in insurance-related repairs (wind, water
and fire
damage). The construction company expanded operations to cover Reno and Las
Vegas.
Responsible for the company's 24-hour emergency water damage cleanup services,
Darren received his WRT certification in 1995. This opened his eyes
to the exciting
potentials of water damage remediation using the proper
equipment and science, which, |
coupled
with his experience in the construction industry, gave him a passion
for structural drying
which has never left him.
The emergency remediation division of the construction company
was spun off as Water Extraction Technologies (W.E.T.), which had grown to serve two states before it was acquired by BELFOR Property Restoration, the largest disaster recovery company in the world
.
Darren has personally completed thousands of successful water damage jobs with
clients ranging from individual homeowners, to large home subdivisions, hospitals,
hotels, warehouses, school districts and government buildings. His experience in constructing
buildings from the ground up and doing fire rebuilds and remodeling together
with his experience and training in water damage has given him a solid foundation
for determining how to best approach remediation projects. His knowledge and
passion are evident in his classroom presentations. Darren has presented many classes, workshops, and seminars to a variety of industry-related professional groups, including realtors, insurance adjusters and agents, and risk managers across the United States.
